In search of a cozy yet affordable escape, I recently booked a twin room on the 14th floor with Easterly Views at ibis Adelaide. As a self-proclaimed bath aficionado, I knew I might miss the luxury of soaking in a tub at this 4-star budget hotel. Nevertheless, the convenience of its location and the promise of 5-star facilities piqued my interest. This marked my first time staying at ibis in Adelaide, and I was eager to explore the offerings and see how they compared to my recent experiences.
Upon arriving at the ibis Adelaide, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's sleek and modern ambience. The lobby exuded a welcoming vibe, and the check-in process was efficient and hassle-free. As I made my way to the 14th floor, anticipation grew for the views that awaited me.
While the absence of a bath in the twin room disappointed me slightly, I couldn't help but appreciate the thoughtfully designed space. The room boasted all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay, and the Easterly Views offered a picturesque panorama of the city's skyline. The proximity of the hotel to various attractions was a definite plus; everything seemed just a stone's throw away.

I must admit, one of the standout features of ibis Adelaide was its commitment to providing a fantastic breakfast experience. As part of the Accor group, the hotel group seems to have excelled in offering a delectable breakfast buffet with an impressive selection. From savoury dishes to sweet treats, the spread was a feast for the senses. As someone with dietary restrictions, I was delighted to discover that the hotel staff were more than accommodating. My request for gluten-free toast was promptly fulfilled, and I appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring every guest's needs were met.

The breakfast was served on level 1, and while the hotel had a balcony available for functions, the chilly weather encouraged us to enjoy the sunrise from the cozy confines of the indoor dining area. The warm ambience and delicious breakfast made for an excellent start to the day.

Whether it was providing local recommendations or attending to minor requests, they went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests. It was evident that their genuine hospitality was a key factor in creating a memorable stay.
The location of ibis Adelaide proved to be a major advantage. Rundle Mall, a vibrant shopping precinct, was just a short 2-minute walk away. For those who love to stay active while travelling, the hotel's gym on level 2 was well-equipped and inviting. Additionally, for those with a Derrimut membership, a gym was conveniently located almost next door. Access to various amenities and attractions made the hotel an ideal choice for exploring the city with ease.

The next morning, I found myself having a brisk walk up Rundle Mall at dawn, which was a truly enchanting experience. As the sun began to rise, its gentle rays cast a warm glow on the streets, creating a mesmerising play of light and shadows. The mall, adorned with twinkling lights and decorations, exuded a magical ambience. The tranquillity of the early morning hour added to the charm, with only a few passersby strolling peacefully along the pathway. It felt as though the entire mall belonged to me, offering a serene and intimate connection with the city's heart. Amidst the stillness, I could hear the faint rustling of leaves and the distant hum of awakening city life. The quietude of dawn embraced me, allowing me to savour every moment of this rare and peaceful time in one of Adelaide's most bustling areas, just a stone's throw from the ibis. It was a moment of pure serenity.
I did bring my car this time, and I was pleased to find that the hotel offers a location to park the car, receiving a discount of about $24.00 for an overnight stay. This added convenience made it even more appealing for travellers like me who prefer to have their vehicles readily available.
For guests who prefer self-catering options, Foodland was conveniently located around the corner from the hotel, offering a wide range of supplies. This, coupled with the hotel's prime location, ensured that guests had everything they needed for a seamless and enjoyable stay.
As an avid traveller always on the lookout for exciting offers, I was pleased to discover the array of promotions and deals available at ibis Adelaide. Being a part of the Accor group, the hotel participated in the Accor Campaign "That's.All.Com," which offered a curated hospitality experience with access to over 400 hotels, resorts, and apartments across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and French Polynesia, as well as over 5,000+ worldwide. From comfortable stays to luxurious resorts, ALL.COM guaranteed the best prices in sought-after destinations. Accor Plus members even received an exclusive 10% off, along with discounts on dining and more. The campaign's focus on personalised and rewarding experiences resonated with my preference for unique getaways. For more information click here .
Furthermore, for those seeking conference and event spaces, ibis Adelaide had recently launched "The Junction," a brand new meeting space. As part of the launch celebration, booking a meeting in The Junction for 2023 entitled all delegates to enjoy complimentary barista coffee—an attractive incentive for businesses and organisations looking to host successful gatherings.
The hotel's Food & Beverage offerings further added to the overall experience. Happy Hour presented an excellent opportunity to unwind and indulge in house wine and beers on tap at attractive prices from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Overall, my stay at ibis Adelaide was a delightful experience that surpassed my expectations. Despite the absence of a bath, the hotel's well-appointed facilities, attentive staff, and fantastic breakfast made for a memorable stay. The location's convenience allowed me to explore the city with ease, and the modern ambience of the hotel lent a sense of urban comfort to my getaway.
