Tucked away on a tree-lined street in one of Adelaide’s most charming precincts, the Majestic Old Lion Apartments in North Adelaide genuinely live up to their name - both majestic and lion-hearted in hospitality.



I had the pleasure of staying here in December 2024, and I can honestly say it felt like coming home… if home were a spacious, modern apartment with everything you need just steps from your door.



Located at 9 Jerningham Street, the Old Lion Apartments are the perfect base for exploring Adelaide. With cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and leafy parklands, I didn’t need to venture far to enjoy some of the city’s best offerings. When I felt like stretching my legs, iconic spots like the Adelaide Oval, the Zoo, and even the University of Adelaide were within walking distance.



But let’s talk about the apartment itself — because this is where the magic happens. My one-bedroom suite was light-filled, spotlessly clean, and surprisingly roomy, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and a super comfy living area. After a long day out, there’s something deeply comforting about coming back, brewing tea in your own kitchen, and kicking back to catch a movie on a 37-inch LCD TV.

Comfort, cleanliness, and convenience are top priorities here. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, in-room safes, and even electric blankets made for a worry-free stay. Their contactless check-in, availability of hand sanitiser, and precise attention to guest safety measures were the icing on the cake - especially in today’s travel climate.

Whether you're travelling for work, with family, or just enjoying a solo city break, Majestic Old Lion offers 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, making it an excellent choice for all travellers. With self-parking and laundry facilities on-site, you’ll have everything you need to settle in quickly.

Not often do you find accommodation that genuinely lives up to the phrase home away from home, but this little oasis in North Adelaide pulls it off effortlessly.
