Slam poetry has been used to amplify the voices that need to be heard to enact change. From climate action, women's rights, and mental health advocacy, to the preservation of First Nations culture, and everything in between. If everyone was listening to you, what would you want them to hear?

Spoken Word SA is the caretaker of the South Australian leg of the Australian Poetry Slam. Presenters have shared their words around the country, won prestigious competitions, and have a passion for mentoring new talent. Using the national competition's rules and structure, learn how to write, perform, and make people want to listen.
