Get ready to Play Wild at Monarto Safari Park, 63 Monarto Road, Monarto, these summer school holidays. Grab your Play Wild booklet and set off on an exciting trail that highlights five iconic African animals.

As you explore the park, you’ll uncover fun facts, learn how these incredible animals love to play, and track down the answers to special questions hidden on signs along the way. Inside the booklet, you’ll also find your very own take-home Monarto Safari Park board game. Perfect for curious kids, families, and anyone ready to explore, learn and play these holidays.

If you’re not a member, please pre-book with a date-specific ticket to avoid missing out. To ensure the very best experience on your visit, there are daily visitor caps in place. Zoos SA Members, Life Members and reciprocal zoo members are not required to book, and are able to enter the park on any day of their choosing with their membership card and photo ID.


You also have a chance to feed a gentle giant, the majestic giraffe. Experience a unique opportunity suitable for all ages, and feel the thrill of hand-feeding a gentle Kimya, Nolean, and Unyezi, the giraffes, watching their long tongues curl around a carrot and gently munch it right out of your hands! Step right up to the giraffe habitat and hand-feed some of the tallest animals on Earth their favourite veggie treats. You’ll be given a cup filled with crunchy snacks to offer, and in return, you’ll get up close with their long tongues and gentle nature. This 5-minute encounter is the perfect add-on to a day at Adelaide Zoo. Whether it’s your first time meeting a giraffe or you’re just looking for a little extra magic, it’s a fun way to connect with these amazing animals while helping support important conservation work.
