Black in Time, a light-hearted look at funeral customs and etiquette c 1900, will be displayed at Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum, 3 Perseverance Road, Tea Tree Gully, on Sunday, 21 June 2026 from 11 am to 4 pm, as part of their monthly family event, Heritage on Sunday.

Did you know clocks were stopped at the time of death?
Why were mirrors covered?
How long was one expected to wear black?

Come and discover many interesting traditions. To respectfully honour our pioneers, black is requested to be worn. Tickets will be $6 for adults, $5 for concession and children under 16 years old will be FREE. Refreshments will be available, including Devonshire tea, coffee, sausage sizzle, soft drinks, and more, at various prices. Credit/debit card payments will be accepted.
