School holidays dragging on with kids bouncing off the walls. Ride and Play offers a free wander on bikes or scooters through Sturt River Linear Park and the nearby reserves. Pick up your passport at the start and tackle the easy 3km Warripari trail, pausing at reserves for daft challenges, a bit of nature spotting, and playground detours that might just wear them out.

Stamp the passport as you go, poking around wetlands and green patches, then wrap it up for a crack at some prizes. Geared for families with 4 to 12 year olds, though any adult who secretly loves an excuse to pedal without looking too serious is welcome.
