Discover the precision and elegance of
Hitome-zashi (one-stitch Sashiko). Unlike traditional
Sashiko patterns, this technique follows a grid to reveal intricate geometric patterns. In this workshop, participants will master the
Kome-zashi (Rice Stitch) pattern - a design that resembles the Japanese kanji for rice.
Jun is an Adelaide-based
Sashiko artist and instructor dedicated to the art of traditional
Sashiko stitching. To ensure a genuine experience, Jun sources all workshop materials directly from Japan, utilising
Sashiko threads and fabrics of the highest quality. Through simple but meditative stitching, Jun helps participants find beauty in every stitch.
Located at
Murray Bridge Regional Gallery,
27 Sixth Street, Murray Bridge, this event will be held on
Saturday, 25 July 2026 from
